Coral Charming…… Table Centerpiece
At theĀ Barton Creek Resort and Spa, this centerpiece
added additional sophistication and fun to one bride’s
reception. Using an all coral palette with candlelight created
a lovely table setting.

Modern Glam – Feature on Style Me Pretty

Posted by on Apr 3, 2011 in Journal, Uncategorized

Totally, 100% up my design alley. This Houston bride was spectacular. She sought us out and even drove from Houston just to meet with me at our studio near Austin, for her Houston wedding. She also hired an AMAZING photographer from Los Angeles, Docuvitae I had so much fun coming up with ideas to carry out her inspiration pics and initial color scheme ideas. We had a great time working together to see this to fruition, and she put a good deal of professional trust in me to see her vision through.

Enjoy!

Last Petal on Style Me Pretty – Bea and Sam

Posted by on Mar 4, 2011 in Journal, Uncategorized

Last Petal had one of our fabulous weddings posted from 2010 today on
Style Me Pretty. Please take a look at the post and enjoy the full details.
It was beyond a pleasure creating the florals and decor for this lovely couples wedding.
I wouldn’t have changed or added a thing….the final product was
absolutely magical!

Beautifully Bright!

Posted by on Nov 19, 2010 in Journal, Uncategorized

Love this color combination! Pinky coral, orange and chartuese.
This is a bright color palette without being overwhelming and still
creates an elegant mood with the shapes chosen. There are green hydrangea, orange parrot tulips, pincushion protea, orange dendrobium mokara orchids, and curly willow to create some wispy texture dancing around the other components. Just say YES! to texture.
Enjoy!

Happy Married Couple!

Posted by on Nov 7, 2010 in Journal, Uncategorized

You’ve gotta love this couple. They had such a good time at their
wedding and were a very warm and gracious couple.
Their flowers were muted shades of green,
antique pinks, and purple tones.

Enjoy,
Melanie

We have been so busy this October!
For those potential clients out there who want to inquire, we
will get back with you as swiftly as we can.
Here’s a lovely portrait bouquet done by one of our staff member, Rachel.
The bride was ironically doing her photoshoot out near our studio

Portrait of a Lady

I’m so excited to be able to post these two beautiful shots of my bride!
They were taken over a month ago, but I didn’t want to post them just in
case the groom was ever to stumble upon my blog (…..slim chance I know,
but better safe than sorry). We designed her wedding this past Friday
at Laguna Gloria, and it turned out beautifully..mimicing the gorgeous
weather that ensued for the event! Kudos Mother Nature!
Enjoy!

Peaches and Cream a lovely team….

{ Gina & Will }
I cannot thank Gina, a fellow wedding crusader, enough for instilling her
trust in Last Petal to make her wedding a delight! A “Peach Delight” it t’was!
I had SO much fun focusing the decor around this almighty summer fruit..
and on July 4th to boot!
I enjoyed adding special touches with our collected antiques,
courtesy of my parent’s “barn”. These made the details
to this event really stand out and shine.
Good luck, my favorite caterer, on your new adventures and we will miss
you here in Texas!
Enjoy!
Melanie

This wedding was so beautiful and creative. The most
creative was the bride’s color scheme.
Grey, aqua and red. Loved it!
This couple was amazing to work with and they
really gave us creative license.

Enjoy!
